The Department of Revenue and Taxation Announces Barrigada Main Office Schedule for Driver’s License Branch
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – July 22, 2020
Barrigada, GU – The Guam Department of Revenue and Taxation (DRT) today announced the following regarding its Driver’s License Branch services:
- The Agana Shopping Center Satellite Office will be closed for business effective 5:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 22, 2020 due to the expiration of its long term lease with the Agana Shopping Center and DRT’s desire to find accommodations more suitable for its satellite operations. Please proceed directly to the Barrigada Main Office.
- Barrigada Main Office – Services will be provided as follows:
- Online Appointments will be handled at the Barrigada Office effective July 23, 2020, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday beginning Thursday, July 23, 2010. The Senior Citizens, Veterans and Persons with Disabilities will be serviced from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. daily. All others will be serviced from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
DRT reminds others who do not have online appointments for Drivers License that the Barrigada Main Office will continue to be open on these Saturdays, Aug 1, Aug 8, and Aug 15, 2020, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on a walk-in basis. From 7:00 a.m to 8:00 a.m., the Senior Citizens, Veterans, and Persons with Disabilities will be serviced from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. will be on a walk-in basis.
Guam residents should be aware that all late fees will be waived for those Driver’s Licenses and Guam I.D.s which expired from March 14, 2020 through August 31, 2020, as long as renewal is done by September 4, 2020. In addition to the waiver of late fees for these licenses, Guam DRT has also given an automatic extension for those licenses through August 31, 2020 as long as renewal is done by September 4, 2020.
Guam DRT will be announcing additional walk-in schedule for Driver’s Licenses should there be a need to do so. Customers are reminded that Driver’s Licenses cannot be renewed in advance of 90 days of expiration. Guam DRT has issued a letter regarding the automatic extension which can be downloaded at http://www.guamtax.com.
